Mother

A Society with a Strong Moral & Spiritual Fabric

Need of the hour

How do we bring this ON?

Divinity through Humanity

Creation is a blend of Prakruti and Purusha. For this creation to be happening in continuity, a system called as marriage was given to the society through Sanatana Dharma. Living a life of Purity, integrity, and Love.

For a marriage, the Brahma Upadesham time of the boy and Maturity time of the girl are to be matched.

(Not the Birth Horoscopes which is being currently followed).

After the marriage first blending of consciousness should happen before the union of Shiva and Shakti.

Husband and Wife living a life with Purity in their hearts, by being truthful to each other with great moral values imbibed in them, when such couples decide to give birth to a new creation, souls with great divine qualities will surely descend on Earth.

To facilitate the descent of a Divine Soul, On Ekadashi the husband should fast, and the lady should observe Mauna, the whole day thinking of the Lord by doing japa and dhyanam. On dwadashi they set their body and mind and deciding on what child they want. If they want a male child, they must activate Surya naadi and for Girl Child, Chandra naadi. Then on trayodashi during Brahmi muhurta(the time of arrival of God's and Goddess’s) with the union of Purusha Prakruti the Garbha dana should happen.

Earlier days the ladies menstrual cycle used to be in tune with the waxing and waning of moon. But these days it is not happening accordingly. The Natural cycle is been disturbed due to exposure to various things in today's world like computers, disharmony in relations and fast paced life.

So in such a scenario Ekadashi according to the lunar calendar cannot be considered for Garbha Dana. For this after the completion of their menstruation i.e when the bleeding stops completely for example: if your menstruation stops completely on say 6th so count 11 days forward 6+11 it will be 17th. This day to be taken as Ekadashi then Dwadashi and Trayodashi respectively. The above said practices for these three days to be followed to bring down a Divine soul. (Note: If the menstruation starts after sunset then the next day is to be considered as the first day of your monthly cycle). There is a Bhagavathi temple in Chengannur Kerala which fixes any problem related to menstrual cycle or reproduction. Any lady with these issues can visit this temple once. This is the functional quality of that particular temple.

The Divine union of Prakruti and Purusha should be like Shakti in Space (Shiva).

When the lady conceives, it's the responsibility of the family and society to take care of both mother and the child with utmost love and care.

With the birth of a child, a Mother is born too. The Child must be welcomed with celebrations just as the Janmashtami of Lord Rama or Lord Krishna is celebrated.

Mother is there in every girl; it is her very nature which blooms completely once she gives birth to a child.

A mother is the one who showers love not only on her child but on every child as her own. The Expanse of Mothers’ Consciousness makes her a complete mother, a Jagadjanani, a LOKAMATRE.

For even God stopped creating anything further after the creation of a Mother because he created that which could give life, hold life, and offer it to the society for its betterment. Even Gods take birth to experience this creation called as MOTHER.

MOTHER

Who actually is a MOTHER?

According to the ancient Hindu tradition there are seven categories of Mother. Mother is not necessarily the biological mother alone. They are

·     Our Own Mother – Maatha who gives this Shareera

·     Guru Patni – Guru Maatha – Wife of the Guru

·     A lady Guru who gives the birth of knowledge – Brahmani

·     Raja Patni – Raja Mata who is the queen who is like a mother to her own citizens

·     Dhenu or the Cow – Go Mata

·     Pruthvi – Maatru bhoomi

·     Dhatri – The caretaker who is like a mother during the formative years

Importance of Garbha Samskara

The Sanskrit word Garbha means fetus in the womb and Samskara means educating the mind. So, Garbha samskara essentially means educating the mind of the fetus. It is traditionally believed that a child's mental and behavioral development starts as soon as he is conceived. His personality begins to take shape in the womb, and this can be influenced by the mother's state of mind during pregnancy. This knowledge can be traced back to ancient scriptures and is included in the Ayurveda.

Your bond with your child starts right from the time you conceive. It is not that when the child is born you know him. The baby listens to you and feels your feelings even when it is developing in your womb. You can shape up your baby’s first impressions by listening to good music, visualizing, massaging gently, meditating and of course, with the help of positive thinking.

The advantages of Garbha Samskara are not only that you educate your child and there is development of a bond between the mother and the child. In fact, this has a great impact on the health of the mother also. The positive thinking and attitude promote physical wellbeing of the mother.

Mother’s bond with the child starts right from the time of conception. The mother can shape up baby’s first impressions. The positive thinking and attitude promote physical wellbeing of the mother and the baby throughout the pregnancy and after.

We have numerous stories from the Past proving the same from our History as well as Present.

The birth of Prahalada

Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha were twins of great strength. Being the eldest of the two Hiranyakashipu ascended the throne and began to rule with such arrogance that his subjects prayed to God for relief. Hiranyaksha created a disturbance in the milky way galaxy which is referred as Ksheera Sagara by displacing the Earth from its orbit. Due to this orbital offset life on Earth got disturbed. So, to restore Peace, Mahavishnu took the Form of Mahavaraha (Big Boar) and killed Hiranyaksha and placed Earth back gently to its original position in the orbit.

When his brother Hiranyakashipu learned about the death of his brother he became incredibly sad and angry. He consoled his brother’s wife and his own wife and left the palace to perform penance to invoke Lord Brahma and get extraordinarily special boons to make himself invincible. He entrusted the kingdom to his ministers.

When the Devas came to know about the absence of Hiranyakashipu in his kingdom, they laid siege to the capital. Lord Devendra had an easy victory. He took Hiranyakashipu’s wife queen Kayadhu a prisoner and dragged her along. When sage Narada heard her cries for help, he appeared before Devendra and said, “Lord of heaven, what are you doing? This cowardly act is not right for your status. Killing a woman is one of the worst sins. Leave her alone.”

Devendra heard Narada and said, “O holy sage, I am not going to kill her. Instead I am going to kill the child she is bearing. We cannot withstand the troubles Hiranyakashipu has been giving. It is dangerous to allow his family line to continue. If I do so, the world is going to be in great danger.”

“O chief of Gods, killing a helpless child is also a great sin. Further the child whom the queen is bearing is not an ordinary child. He is going to become one of the greatest devotees of Lord Sri Hari. The three worlds are going to benefit from this child. Therefore, spare the unborn child.” said Narada. Devendra spared the child on Narada’s advice. He begged pardon of the demon queen, touched her feet, and left the place taking leave of Narada. Narada consoled Kayadhu and took her to his ashram. On reaching the place he said, “My dear daughter, you can live here in this ashram without any fear. You will be taken care very well by the inmates of the ashram. You can go to the capital when your husband returns from his tapas.” So, saying he entrusted the care of the pregnant queen to the elderly ascetic women of his hermitage. The queen lived happily in the conducive atmosphere of the ashram. Great sages there would hold discourses on righteous living and the greatness of God. They saw to it that Kayadhu would sit near them and listen to the discourses. Shastras have made it obligatory for pregnant women to live in conducive and sacred places so that the environment will have a positive influence on the child in the womb. While the child is in the womb and after birth as a child and later as a youth, the influence of the environment on him/her is decisive in forming his/her personality. It is the social and natural environment that decide whether the person becomes good or bad. Therefore, shastras have given the greatest importance to the surroundings in which a child is brought up.

Kayadhu, the queen of demons, thus began to spend a happy and contented life in the sage’s ashram. Sage Narada would call her and talk to her privately and initiate her to noble ideas. Sometimes, while listening to the sage she would go to sleep, but sage Narada would continue his discourse and the child in her womb would listen to him with great devotion. The child would try to understand the inner meaning of his discourses. In course of time, though Kayadhu forgot most of what Narada spoke, the child remembered even the last syllable of what he said. The sage spoke about the world we see around us, thousands of things we do not see, the five senses, and the world beyond our senses and all comprehensive God. He made it clear that everything in this world is controlled and governed by the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God, and that God is called Sriman Narayana. We must see God through our inner eye and then see him in everything around us. We should never harm any living being. We should never hate anyone. Love should form an indivisible part of our personality because everything is created by God everywhere and in everything. We must be kind to people in difficulties and help them to the best of our abilities. We should pray to God to give us that strength and pray for those in misery and be friendly to everyone. In the process we may suffer but we should put up with such sufferings. Pardon those who try to harm you. Be happy and contended all the while. Never blame fate when you are in difficulties. In the same way when you beam with happiness never forget the Lord. On all occasions chant the sacred name of the Lord.

The child in the womb of the daitya queen understood all these great principles of good life and this was possible because of sage Narada’s preaching. At the end of the ninth month queen Kayadhu gave birth to a handsome son. He was named Prahlada. Several good omens were seen in nature when the child was born. The whole world heaved a sigh of relief after continuously being put to trouble by Hiranyakashipu. Later the Lord came out of the pillar, as desired by his devotee Prahalada, in the form of half man and half lion and put an end to the sufferings of the world by killing Hiranyakashipu.

The story of Ashtavakra

Ashtavakra's mother Sujata wanted her son to be the most intelligent sage ever. So, she would sit in the classes taught by her father and husband while she was pregnant. In a class taught by her husband, the unborn baby spoke up and corrected his father sage Kahoda. Kahoda feeling insulted cursed his son to be born deformed

So Astavakra was born physically challenged. But as he had taken part in the classes of his learned father and grandfather while in the womb of his mother, he was a genius. The story goes on to say that because of his intelligence, he was able to fix his physical handicap.

The Story of Abhimanyu

One of the most famous and well-known tales is that of Abhimanyu from the Mahabharata. When Arjuna's wife was pregnant with their son Abhimanyu, he told her about how to penetrate the Chakravyuh, a war formation. When Abhimanyu became a young man and a warrior in the Kurukshetra war, he remembered his father's story. He was able to employ the strategy that he had heard his father tell his mother while he was in her womb.

 Mothers in today’s context

Today’s mothers may be busy career-oriented mothers or homemakers. With the available time we get to spend with our children we must be aware of how we are spending it and are we instilling the right values in them.

According to Swami Vivekananda

It is the duty of the mother to think of her children first and then of herself. But, instead of that, if the parents are always thinking of themselves first, the result is that the relation between parents and children becomes the same as that between birds and their offspring which, as soon as they are fledged, do not recognize any parents. Blessed, indeed, is the man who can look upon woman as the representative of the motherhood of God. Blessed, indeed, is the woman to whom man represents the fatherhood of God. Blessed are the children who look upon their parents as Divinity manifested on earth.

True mothers must show the direction for life and not livelihood.

We hope we can raise our children by kindling Desha Bhakthi and Daiva Bhakthi.

TRUE LIFE EXPERIENCES - BY MOTHERS’

My Experience

I would like to cite few examples of Garbha Samskara during my pregnancy.

My child is 8 years now.

Ø In family and extended family, it was mostly the population of male child born to my sister, cousins, and co-sisters. Due to this reason had a wish to experience a female child, although I was ready to accept whatever the Lord offers to me. On 21st July 2012, Lord blessed us with a baby boy. Look at the beauty of nature’s creation. As my child grew, he had the beauty of girl child on his face, although he is a boy. The beauty of Lord’s creation is that he blessed me with both of my wishes:  Beauty of a girl child in a boy child. One of the best compliments we received by a passerby during his younger days was “He looks so beautiful. He should have been a girl. It’s so unfair that he is boy”. We still laugh out at this comment whenever we recollect it.

Ø I used to listen to soothing instrumental music like flute and santoor. Should I think it’s a mere coincidence that my child picked up “Flute” to learn when given an option to choose from wide range of instruments?

Ø I used to watch “Happiness Unlimited” a wonderful program series by BK Sister Shivani. My child always used to be so Happy without any reason that often I faced question by many people asking me the reason behind his Happiness. Now you all know the Secret I think 😊

Ø Not only the mother’s thought affects the child in womb, it is also the kind of thoughts that are carried by people around the child that shapes the qualities of the child. During the time of my delivery when I was going through labor pain in hospital, my father all alone in house was praying to Lord Hanuman for me and my child’s safety. My father had great devotion for “Lord Hanuman”. During challenging times of his life, he always used to face it by saying “Bajrang bali ki jai”. No wonder my child has the mobility and activeness of Lord Hanuman who is “Vayu Putra” himself.

My Journey as a Mother

My journey as a mother began even before I became a mother, as a teenager I had the first experience😊 Yes! you heard it right.

While I was in my second year engineering as a girl of 18 years one night I had a dream that I was pregnant and my baby bump was very big when I bent down and looked I could see Swami Samarth in my stomach looking at me and smiling. The next morning when I woke up, I was really surprised rather confused with this kind of dream at that age. That evening after my college hours I decided to visit the Anjaneya swami temple close by. While doing the pradakshina around the Prahaara, usually there are many pictures of Rama, Hanuman, Seetha, Rama Pattabhisheka like in any other temple. But that day to my surprise there was also a photo of Swami Samarth there amid other deities. This took me aback and when I enquired with the temple priest as to how they got his photo ( as it’s not very common to see Maharashtra sadhus here other than Shirdi Sai baba), he replied saying “ last night somebody had left it in the temple, because the Sadhu looked divine we kept it along with other Gods. He did not know who it was.

This was my first experience. I did not contemplate any further and my routine life continued.

During my final year of engineering my father had taken me to Visakhapatnam to a relative’s place. Their Guru was Shri Shivananda Murthy, they had taken us for his darshan. A retired police officer and a great Shiva Bhakta with many followers, yet he was a very simple and practical Guru. He enquired about what I was studying then I expressed my interest to pursue masters in Germany and sought his blessings. For which he replied “your important role is to be a healthy Mother, seven years from now you will be a Mother, prepare yourself for that. He asked me to start eating Chawanprash”. He instructed my uncle to buy a bottle of Chawanprash for me.

Again, I was too young for this and didn’t analyze further but continued to eat Chawanprash as instructed.

In the year 2014 on 30th May, we happened to attend the housewarming function of my cousin. After the function, my father was supposed to drop me back home. We were on the way but both of us did not feel like going home and both had the wish to visit one Sundara Anjaneya temple. It is a beautiful temple with 18feet Anjaneya Murthi built in Jagannath Puri style. After we had darshan of Lord my father gave me a yellow flower in the prahaara of the temple, he asked me to look at the Sun, repeat one Mantra  and consume the flower. After I did so, he said the soul has descended.

After a month once the pregnancy was confirmed the initial scan report also confirmed the formation of the baby as 30th May.

The 9 months period was the most blissful phase of my life. Main reason being I was in the company of my father all the time and may be the soul I was carrying was such.(even now he is a blissful child for those of you who have seen Sarvesha know it).As per my father’s instructions I did not watch a single movie, read newspaper, listen to news or use a knife to cut vegetables.

I read books like Ribhu Geetha, always listened to Sat Vishaya, mantras, good music even while at office. Early in the morning even while I was asleep my father used to sit beside me and read highest of the scriptures as we believed the child inside will listen.

Every minute I communicated with the child and expressed whatever I went through. I always had the inner feeling that it is a boy though I loved to have a daughter, but I knew it would be a boy.

At later stages whenever I felt the movement is not happening when I played Nirvana Shatakam of Adi Shankara the baby used to respond and start moving.

In one of the scans, when my father had accompanied me since it was at a later stage the baby was well developed and the face was visible. When the radiologist showed the baby, only me and my father noticed a U shaped nama on the forehead. I thought it was my imagination but to my surprise my father had also noticed the Nama on his forehead.

Around the 7 th Month when my father was in Samadhi in the basement of our house, he wrote down in a piece of paper that the baby needs to be named SARVESHA and the name has been blessed by millions of Rishis.

I read the Sreepada SreeVallabha Saptaha several times during the pregnancy.

The due date given by the doctors was 8th of March 2015. On 12th February when I went for routine checkup my BP was high and I was asked to get admitted immediately.

I carried the Saptaha of Swami Samartha along with me to the hospital, when I was undergoing labour pain I was constantly calling his name with the book on my tummy. When time came, I carried the book even to the labor ward and because of his grace the pregnancy was very smooth, and my son was born.

Only because of the strength I derived as the Mother of Sarvesha and daughter and blessings of my father and Guru Shri Shivananda Bharati I could witness all kinds situations I went through in my life without being much affected by it. Even a tsunami can be converted into a breeze by Guru's Grace. My life is a testimony for that.

To talk about how all the preparation has exactly had an impact on my child, I do not know, but overall I see him as a very strong personality with great leadership skills and divine qualities even at such a tender age

He is always a great source of strength and happiness to me and to the people around.

My transformation from a Girl to a Mother

My Janmadhatri a devoted mother and my Janmadata a karmayogi. Simple folks they were. I was brought up along with my younger sister, in an atmosphere of Love and devotion where Honesty and Truth were imbibed in us as life teachings.

When I reached the age of marriage, I expressed my wish to my parents about whom I chose as my Life Partner for journey of celebration and togetherness ahead. So finally, the marriage was fixed with the boy of my liking.

Before marriage I had an experience where Shiva & Parvati appeared in front of me and they blessed me by giving a mangalya placed on a coconut. That time I just took it as a dream and simply moved on.

I wished for our marriage to happen in temple, but a hall was already decided by elders in the family, so had to keep quiet. But to my surprise in the mantapa where marriage rituals took place there was a Sai Baba’s Mandir. With all these happenings, it did give the Message that this marriage is God's blessings on both of us.

A new phase of life started with a partner beside who took good care of me. Though we were different personalities we had one common factor in us, which was our interest in Spirituality. We both were sadhaks in search of truth and most importantly a GURU to guide us. My husbands approach towards it was different. Whereas for me devotion was my inbuilt nature, must have got it from my mother. Devotion in the form of meditation, reading books like Bhagvath Geeta, Dasbodha and all.

Anything related to knowledge on God always pulled us. After five years of our journey together, we got the blessings of becoming parents. One of the most beautiful experience of life is to be a Mother.

Meditation, reading different scriptures and philosophical books was always a regular practice which continued even during my pregnancy. By profession being an Architect, I did some house designing projects. I used to keep myself occupied with some or the other creative works.

During this time, we joined a meditation class -SKY as suggested by my husband. So there used to be regular weekend classes. I used to go for the classes where the discussion was all about space consciousness, energy, and SELF. Mornings I used to feel tired even to go to the class but by evening when I used to come home, would be fully charged and energetic.

The concluding four days classes were to be held in Coimbatore an Ashram of Vethatri Maharishi. I was in the fourth month of my pregnancy; we both went there. A place away from all the city hassles and close to nature. We enjoyed every moment we spent there, as we were completely with the SELF in the nature's abode. Nobody in the group with whom we went knew about my pregnancy. On the last concluding day of the meditation program we were waiting to seek blessings of Vethatri Maharishi and when my turn came, I also went near him.

He kept his gaze on me for about ten minutes and said something in Tamil, which both of us did not understand that day. But after that, the whole of the assembly knew that I was carrying, and other participants started coming and telling us that you both are a blessed souls and that the Maharishi has blessed your Child.

We also felt happy to get his blessings, as our new journey as a Parents was going to begin. Above that mother nature also showered her blessings that very day by beautiful rain shower which we both enjoyed, every drop of water which she showered on us. We were really in bliss that moment. It seemed the whole creation is blessing us.

We both had decided on what we would name our child if it is a boy or a girl.  For a boy we thought of one of the names of lord Surya Narayana and to our utter surprise we were blessed by a baby boy that too on a Sunday morning, the day supposed to be dedicated to Lord Surya.

I knew nothing much about Garbha Samskara at that time, but this is how it was. A happening which God had planned for us. Now we are blessed with a child who is 15 years old, born with qualities like honesty, truthfulness, a highly creative spirit and is a very sensible and expressive boy. His presence completes us.

All through the pregnancy and even after  that we used to bless the child saying "Be blessed by the divine" and yes truly he is blessed as at an early age he met his Guru and got initiated for his journey towards his Self. He is the reason for us as parents to meet our GURU too.

To understand this Garbhasamskara I did a little questioning and asked my mother and mother in law what they did during their pregnancies. My mother was a devotee of goddess, so she used to do Devi Pooja and my mother in law said she was a working woman and so whatever little time she used to get she used to do prayers for Guru Raghavendra. I was amazed that my husband would sing only a particular devotional song of Raghavendra Swami, if at all he is in mood to sing a devotional song.

All this only tells us that if we impart good samskaras in our children, the way our parents did as per there evolution level and now with more refinement we pass it to our children. If this becomes a continuous process then we can have a society with great Moral and Spiritual values where Love, Truth and Integrity will be the pillars of it.

The Miracle Of My Life

I am a quite Simple lady, a homemaker, who doesn't know the world's ways but blessed with a very loving and a caring husband who has always protected me from all the negativity and thus maintaining my innocence. My husband is a man of Truth, very spiritual and a high thinking person. He has been living life on his terms.

We got married in 17th March 1986 and our Joys Increased with the arrival of a lovely daughter a vibrating pearl, an angel no doubt she is, in the year 1987. We were living a quite simple and a happy life. With time, we were blessed with another son whom we had named as Vishwadeva, but he did not stay with us for long. He left his body on 1989 July 1st. That pain of losing him remained in me, so always wanted to have one more child with a thought that it's arrival may heal me. But, having already undergone a family planning operation, so to conceive again I needed to get a reconnection operation done. For which we consulted a doctor, but he did not guarantee us that the operation would be a successful one.

Looking into the uncertainty we decided not to go ahead. After this my husband in the year 1993 went to Mount Kailasa, where he met a doctor named Murugappan, from Chennai, who was a devotee of Kenchihally Rajarajeshwari Thirichyswamigal.

Doctor Murugappan was already told by an astrologer that he will meet a person in a foreign land who will speak to him about Rishis and he would be your Guru i.e my husband. On the day of Guru Poornima while walking together, in the place where they had camped, towards Kailas my husband spoke to him about the Rishis. After hearing this Dr. Murugappan asked my husband to initiate him in the path of Rishis. My husband had never done that before, but he replied that if his Guru permits him, he will give deeksha. With the permission of his Guru who told him to acquaint the doctor with preliminary Meditation techniques and Agastya Maharishi would take care of the process of initiation. So, they were sitting at place and my husband told him on how to meditate and conveyed him that Agastya Maharishi will give him a mantra which he will able to see in the sky. With the lighting, mantra was seen in the sky. After this amazing experience Dr. Murugappan expressed that he was blessed to have him as his Guru and asked what Gurudakshina he can offer to him. My husband told him that he wanted nothing for himself and asked to do Annadanam in Chennai, at T-Nagar where there is a temple of Agastya Maharishi. This is the first time my husband initiated somebody. From there on he started initiating people into the path of the Rishis.

Later Dr. Mugappan visited our house, in Bangalore once and during the conversations he got to know about us. He said he will perform the reconnection operation as he has already done lot of successful operations like this. So, we went to his nursing home in Red hills, Chennai and I got the operation done.

My husband is a worker for Rishis, that is what he tells me. I do not understand all this Spirituality but just follow his guidance. In the year 1993 in the month of December he met Janardhan Swami, a spiritual master. My husband expressed his wish to perform Sudarshana Yagna to Janardhan Swami. For which Swami agreed and asked both of us to sit for the Yagna and blessed us. During one more visit in the year 1996 Janardhan Swami gave me a coconut and asked me to perform pooja of the same. I did this for two days and did not continue it further as I lost interest in that. After that I went to my native place for some days.

By the time I came back my husband has already thrown that coconut into Dust Bin. My father had given me an Anjaneya photo, while coming back home, which was in a dilapidated condition. My husband said why did I get that as we already have so many photos of Anjaneya in our house. But still he got a new frame done and wrote Omkara in Tamil and did Rama Japa 108 times and devotedly used to put tilaka to it, a pure soul that he is. After this somewhere in the month of February around Shivratri time my husband had an experience when he was lying on the sofa in our house in Ulsoor. At around 2 ‘O’ clock he felt somebody banging at the door and when he opened, he saw a couple. The man was dressed in traditional Karnataka Wear and a lady in nine-yard Saree with kumkum and jasmine in her hand. He asked my husband, as there is cyclone outside can they come in and take rest for some time. They came in, the lady went inside to kitchen and the man laid on the sofa with his head resting on my husband’s lap and with his long hands caressing my husband’s head. Immediately neighbours came to our house thinking that he is a palm reader and they asked him for predictions. Since everybody were showing their hands, my husband also put his right hand forward for which that man asked him to give his active hand, my husband being a left hander and it seemed to him,  the voice of the man  sounded just like his Guru’s. Looking at his left hand, he said that you are going to bring down one soul and your job is to take care of him. He also told him not to worry about his financial problems as his file was in their hands. Then he called his wife, who was inside and addressed her as Uma, for it was time for them to leave, as cyclone had stopped. He laid his hand on her shoulder and turned sidewards and smiled. Suddenly their face changed in to Ishwara and Devi who with a flash of blue light just vanished. My husband who was sleeping on the sofa experiencing this during the sleep, fell off from the sofa and went off to the room to complete his sleep.

In the morning by 5:30Am when I came out of my bedroom my husband said that I was looking 9 months pregnant. I smiled at him and denied that as I had my periods the previous week only. But to my amazement I was pregnant. An unbelievable, though an incredibly happy moment for me. One day when my husband was going to the Ashrama his Guru Sthana, on the way suddenly he remembered that though he threw the coconut in the dustbin then how come I conceived. At that very moment Swami Samarth emerged in the sky and said, “MY WAYS ARE ODD, THAT’S WHY I AM GOD” and this was conveyed to me by my Husband later.

I wanted to go to my native place for my delivery, but my husband refused as the previous child had passed away and he only wanted to take care of me this time. But his Guru asked him to send me to Chennai for which he refused first. But then his Guru said that he had not listened properly. He had mentioned Madras as Chennai. When my husband realised this, he decided to send me to Chennai. On 1996 August 1st Madras was named as Chennai.

Before me going to Chennai for delivery, my husband had been to Baroda for Janardhan Swami’s birthday where he was asked to offer a red Saree to Mahalakshmi in the temple in Bombay. Which he did and there he was told to give that Saree to me so that I can wear that saree during delivery time. We were on the way to the Nursing Home and suddenly I realised that I had forgotten to wear the Red Saree given by my Husband, the blessing of Mahalakshmi. I went back and wore the saree and again proceeded to the Nursing Home. So, on the 2nd of December we were blessed with a Son, in Chennai at Lakshmi Nursing Home, in Villivakam and the lady doctor who did my delivery was a disciple of Master CVV. On the day when our son was born, i.e. Monday at 3:02AM Brahmi muhurtam the whole of Chennai was flooded with heaviest rain shower, which had happened after a gap of Long 72 Years.

All this is so difficult to believe in a day where people have lost belief in their own Self. If the Faith in Almighty is Strong and Unswerving, these kind of miracles happen even today.

Garbha Samskara as I understood from my Mother

Garbhasamskara plays an important role in determining the personality of a child.

I'm not a mom yet, so I don't really have a first hand experience on this matter. BUT, I was a baby once and I may dare to say that the Garbhasamskaras my mom practiced are still imbibed deep in my heart where my memory cannot reach (yet).

When my mom had me, she was one busy woman. She's an architect and always used to be engaged in her projects, including household chores and therefore hardly finding time from her super busy schedule. However, a mom is a mom and she'll do anything that's good for her baby. Despite her fully engaged routine, she diligently took out time to recite this amazing shloka called Atharvashirsha, along with regularly worshipping Shri Swami Samartha, on the suggestion of my father (Thanks, dad!) Although my parents didn't have a spiritual background, my mom continued to recite the Atharvashirsha, due to the grace of God and our Guru whom we met years later. Atharvashirsha is a very powerful shloka with striking vibrations that immediately cast a strong influence on the reciter as well as the listener. It is directed at Shri Ganesha, the Ishwara swaroopa, who is described to be the sole cause, saviour and destroyer of the world. He's the Parabrahman personified and His worship makes a person sinless, pure and wise. I'm thankful to my parents for choosing this wonderful Vedic hymn as a part of Garbhasamskara.

As I read the Atharvashirsha again after many years, I still feel a connection towards it. No matter what hardships I go through, I know Ishwara is always there with me. I was introduced to spiritualism at a young age, and I responded pretty well to it. I know most of the credit goes to my mother who took out time to make sure I received spiritual vibrations when I was just a fetus. I'm grateful to my Guru and my parents for imbibing the highest values on me and supporting me in my spiritual and material life.

All Ladies endure enormous pain while giving birth to a new life and this is enough reason to simply bow before them.

Let all the Women in the world be looked at with great RESPECT, LOVE AND REVERENCE as

A MOTHER, A SISTER, A DAUGHTER, A WIFE and A FRIEND …

they will transform this planet into a PARADISE, the Kingdom of God.
