VARAMAHALAKSHMI VRATA

VARAMAHALAKSHMI VRATA

Every Lady is a Swaroopa of Saraswati        (Goddess of knowledge), Parvati (Mata Annaporna) and Lakshmi (One who is focused).  All these energies are very much a part of her. During festivals we just project that WHICH IS WITHIN US.

VaraMahalakshmi festival falls on 31st of July, this year. During this Festival, Our Earth is flooded with energies of Mahalakshmi, A goddess of all-round Prosperity and Wealth in all form’s i.e. spiritual, material and physical.

To receive this energy, that is flooding the earth we keep the Kalasha with a thought that energies of Lakshmi are installed in it and we perform pooja to it. It is like we are receiving the energy from the Kalasha.

When we are very much a part of the MOTHER, then why not just get connected to her directly by doing Lakshmi Sthapane within our heart and receive her energies and grace, which will be present till next year, when the energies are recharged. Thereafter the energies will carry us wherever we move.

What to do on VaraMahalakshmi day?

MEDITATE ON  MAHALAKSHMI AS YOUR VERY SELF.

The Process and time of Meditation

o During Godhuli Kala that is during sunset time on 31st July 2020

o Dress yourself the way you dress Mahalakshmi on this day.

o Mantra:

Om Shreem Mahalakshmi Devyei Namo Namaha

ॐ श्रीम् महालक्ष्मी देव्यै नमो नमः

o Sit in Sukhasana. Visualise yourself sitting on a pink lotus  in a posture of goddesses Lakshmi with her right leg stretched down for us to reach and left leg folded within her. Holding Shankha Chakra with Abhaya Hasta, Blessing One and All for all round prosperity of the Earth.

The Posture of Lakshmi Devi, with her Right Leg Stretched down, represents the Spiritual Wealth, signifying that we need to surrender to HER for Spiritual Upliftment and Material well being which will be given as and when required.

The Kumbha she holds in her left hand, is symbolic of Material Wealth, which she releases as and when it is required by us once we TOTALLY SURRENDER to HER.

The Conch she holds represents the breath in which the Devi blends in us.

The Su-Darshan Chakra she holds, signifies that when all divine qualities appear in us, that becomes a shield of Protection.

Devi is always depicted as Seated on LOTUS which is in flowing water, signifying that WEALTH has to be flowing.
